Self-host Dekota
The Community edition will be free and open source. You will install it on one of your servers and deploy to as many as you like.
System requirements
| Operating system | Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 LTS, or Debian 12 (64-bit, x86-64 or Arm) |
|---|---|
| Processor | 2 cores or more |
| Memory | 2 GB or more |
| Disk | 30 GB free or more |
| Access | Root over SSH |
| Open ports | 22 (SSH), 80 and 443 (your apps), 8000 (the console until you give it a domain) |
Those figures are for the console and a few small apps. Add what your apps and databases need on top.
Install
Once the source is released, installing takes one command on a fresh server. It installs Docker if needed, sets up the console and the proxy, and prints the address to open.
curl -fsSL https://dekota.org/install.sh | sudo bashThen open http://your-server-ip:8000, create the first account and add your servers. The install guide covers each step.
What you get
- Every deploy feature
- Apps, databases, services, previews, domains, teams, logs and the API. Single sign-on and the audit log are Enterprise only.
- No limits
- Unlimited servers, apps, databases and team members.
- Your data stays with you
- The console and your apps run on your machines. We plan to ship it with the upstream usage report switched off, so it reports nothing to us or to the Coolify project. It still talks to the services you set up, such as your git provider, image registries, Let's Encrypt and your backup storage.
- Tested releases
- Each version is tested before it is published. Update and rollback commands for self-hosters are planned for the Community release.
Licence
Dekota is based on Coolify, an open-source project under the Apache License 2.0. Our changes will be published under the same licence when the source is released, and the original copyright and licence notices are kept in the source.
